Nourish Face Mask Duo Launch
My teammate, Carli Godorhazy, and I were tasked with finding a gap within nourish Savannah's product line, and creating a product to full fill it. The idea for creating face masks for Nourish emerged from recognizing an opportunity- there was no existing concept for such a product within the company’s lineup. Seeing this gap, we realized the potential to develop something that aligned with the brand's mission to deliver thoughtful and effective skincare solutions. After considering what customers might benefit from the most, we decided to create two complementary masks: a purifying clay mask and a deeply moisturizing mask.
The clay mask was designed to draw out impurities, minimize pores, and balance oil production, offering a refreshing reset for the skin. We focused on ingredients such as French Green Clay (sea clay), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Organic Aloe), and Helianthus Annuss Seed Oil (Sunflower Seed Oil). These ingredients work to purify and clean the skin, while moisturizing to not leave the skin dry after use- an issue most clay mask users experience.
In contrast, the moisturizing mask focused on restoring hydration, featuring soothing ingredients that leave the skin soft, supple, and radiant.
To solidify our concept, we sourced and created the clay mask to give our to our friends, using their input to redesign and develop the formulas even farther. We made sure to source the products from reputable sellers, maintaining the quality that Nourish does currently within their products. We then used the prices to estimate the cost of goods (COGS), to estimate how much profit the products would make when sold.
Together, these masks cater to a wide range of skincare needs, providing both a purifying and hydrating solution for customers. This dual approach allowed us to fill a key gap in Nourish’s product line while staying true to the brand's commitment to quality and care.
